@abby0Just contributed to my first open source project through @jessicard new contributing documentation!
@J_cordz7+On one of my previous scrapbook posts I mentioned that I'm going on a trip, and it's today!
This is because my remote classes ended and I have to got back to high school on real life!
So I will be traveling all day to go back to the city, I'll spend the day reading some interesting books and try to code for a bit!
And here's a Hooray Squid! :hooray-squid:
@J_cordz7+Today the entire process for my handshake domain ended, so now I can use javierzaleta/ as my own TLD! This is going to be an awesome step forward into web3 projects for me, next thing is to start using it for my own projects, like setting it up for my website, adding a Namebase DLink subdomain and many more great things to work on with it!
@aaryan0Wrote my first Arduino code on the nodemcu board i got as a secret santa gift! ๐
@HenryBass-U02KEJ8T6D83Summary of winter break:
I actually didn't code much this break, instead focusing on learning. I fully migrated to Linux on all devices, and did a few rices. Mainly I read up on how computers work on a lower level. Hopefully I can do something cool with that knowledge. Mentally exhausted for school starting again. I did write some code though, I did the start of a bootloader. Windows slowed me down a lot, so hopefully I can actually get somewhere now that I'm using Linux on my desktop too. might also remake my homepage, as it was one of my first websites

@taylorleehackclub0I am graduating today! ๐
I decorated my cap w/ a website recapping some of my memories and other info using Next.js. and featured a few of my friends !!
@aaryan0Wrote my first ever test! I really like this and will give TDD a shot!
@caleb0so I've been a Hack Clubber for a year today! ๐ thanks so much to everyone who's made this such an amazing experience ๐
here are my first 2 public messages to appease scrappy :rayge:
@courtney0Getting ready to publish to Amazon...hopefully it will be ready by June!
@nikodemrabulinski0Just signed a new contract and I officially am not only a developer but also a project manager and devops engineer :ferrisbongo:
@karolina0Life updates! I customized my Scrapbook profile yesterday: scrapbook.hackclub.com/lola
Track season started, which means it's time to hurl myself over a pole using a long stick. It also means that my entire body is in excruciating pain. If I don't look like The Rock by our last meet, I will be asking for a refund. :buffdoge:
In other news - I'm fully vaccinated! :))
@matthew1I did it!!!! I contacted every club!!!! And I sat inside at a Panera for the first time in over a year!!!! My god this week was tiring but Iโm so glad I did it. If youโre a club leader (not in the India/Asia/Pacific region) and I didnโt contact you (or a member of your team) this week, please let me know ๐
@karolina0Website saga continues:
I continued adding content today, focusing on a 4-card gallery layout, from which I took heavy inspo (aka literally tried to copy as closely as I possibly could figure out how to) from Lachlan's website. It's still not quite as nice as theirs, but I'll try to add some nicer shadows and smoother hover effects soon. But, it is RESPONSIVE, including on mobile!
All-in-all, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The cards are just blocks with an image that takes up a set amount, then a caption. Padding and margins keep it looking clean on every screen size.
@courtney0I passed my final medical terminology exam with a 92!
@ArcadeWise0Just helped solve an issue with scrappy! Thought the best way to celebrate would be a scrappy post.
@caleb0also made this little clicking animation using a fancy CSS selector with a Bulma modal
@JulieGauthier0Got Orpheus Leap up and running and set up to program on! Gotta take stock of all of my components and sensors and stuff and then pick a project that involves none of it so I have to go to the electronics store
@gabruharsh2440#asia_conf is tomorrow!
Everything is done and finally the whole task list for the event is empty!
@thatrobotdev0In preparation for a club meeting tomorrow, I just shipped lab.github.com/P2PHackClub/p2p-hack-club's-introduction-to-github (repo: github.com/P2PHackClub/introduction-to-github), which is a GitHub Labs course for getting started with GitHub, the P2P Hack Club way ๐
Expect a lot of orpheus, corny jokes, and fun drawings that I got to incorporate from the hackclub/dinosaurs repo ๐.
If you havenโt used GitHub Labs before, itโs learning how to use GitHub on GitHub. In this course, you help publish Orpheusโs website for their science project, using the GitHub flow.
The entire course is based upon GitHubโs Introduction to GitHub course, which made it really easy to set-up (writing this and testing took around 4 hours)
Itโs definitely rough around the edges right now, but weโll be going through it tomorrow with my club, and Iโll be updating and tweaking the course over the next couple of days to make the learning experience even smoother!
Suuuuper fun to make, I definitely want to make a GitHub Labs course from scratch in the future.
@manasmw3330Yesterday was the Day 1 of our 3-Day Arduino bootcamp. We have organized this bootcamp to celebrate Arduino day and we had around 75 participants yesterday.:yay:
